CECIL BEATON
The fashion photography
of Cecil Beaton foretold the renown he was later to gain as a stage and
screen designer (of sets and costumes for the play Coco and the film My
Fair Lady among others).
His photographs, taken
mostly in the 30's, are stage productions in microcosm, featuring sets designed
by Beaton who also frequently painted them.
